Survey Data
Survey data refers to data collected directly from individuals through standardized questionnaires or interviews. Surveys can be conducted using a variety of methods, such as face-to-face interviews, telephone interviews, online surveys, or mailed paper surveys. Survey data can stem from probability-based samples designed to be representative of a population or non-probability surveys focusing on specific groups or using convenience samples. Surveys aim to capture people’s opinions, behaviors, or knowledge on certain topics as well as demographic characteristics and can range from simple opinion polls to complex longitudinal studies tracking changes in individuals’ responses over time.
